Story Inn :: Story, IN

“One Inconvenient Location Since 1851”. Indeed. You can’t stumble across this place. You must know where it is. And, if you don’t, you should. Why? Killer scenery and even better food.

Jennifer and I typically make an annual trip to the Story Inn during the fall. After a few hours of taking in the colors at nearby Brown County State Park we make the 10 winding miles of State Road 135 south from State Road 46 for one of the best meals to be had anywhere. Usually it’s dinner. Today, it’s breakfast.

Pictured is Story’s Eggs Benedict. This is Indiana through and through. Biscuits instead of english muffins, poached eggs, country pit ham, and homemade sausage gravy in lieu of hollandaise. The Story Inn is a bed & breakfast and you just might need the latter after giving this a go.

Best. Breakfast. Ever.
